A Fun Day at CVS!

I received a compliment from the cashier today at CVS, she told me that my receipt was the longest she had ever seen . . . and I only spent $11.41 out of pocket!

I was happy to see a decent week of ECB’s at CVS as last week there wasn’t much at all.  Here’s a breakdown of what I got:

  • 3 12-pk Coca Cola Products $10.00 (earned $2 in ECB’s)
  • GUM Toothbrush 2-pk $3.99, less .75 coupon (earned 3.99 in ECB’s)
  • 2 packages of Candy Corn $1.29 each (earned 2.58 in ECB’s)
  • Powerade Drink $1.69, less .75 coupon (earned 1.69 in ECB’s)
  • Bag of Smarties $1.99 (no ECB’s, but needed for preschool class)
  • 2 Pumpkin Pails .99 each (earned 1.98 in ECB’s)
  • 2 Funlight Glow Sticks .99 each (earned 1.98 in ECB’s)

Total $24.21, less $1.50 in coupons, less $11.79 in ECB’s spent, plus .49 tax = $11.41 out of pocket and I received $14.22 in ECB’s to use on my next purchase!

As you can see, most of my out of pocket expense were the Coca-Cola products and those were at hubby’s request as we were completely out of all drinks except tea and milk!  My boys already have pumpkin pails for Halloween, but I have plans for the 2 FREE ones I purchased . . . I will share my plan with you soon!

A CVS Trip

Today was my first trip to CVS in about a month!  Can you believe it?  I think that’s the longest period of time I’ve gone without visiting CVS since I started CVSing.  I had a $6 ECB that was expiring TODAY and I just wouldn’t be able to stand it if I “lost” $6 so I made a special trip today!

There is a brand new CVS not too far from our house so I thought I would give it a try.  The store has a little bit different set up but is very large, clean and well organized!

Here’s the deal I got (I know it doesn’t look like a lot, but I only had $6 in ECB’s to use):

Here’s the breakdown of my cost:

  • Vitamin Water $2.29, got $2.29 in ECB’s back
  • 2 Colgate Toothpaste $2.99 each, used 2 $1 off coupons, got $4 in ECB’s back
  • Bic Soleli Razor $5.99, used $2 off coupon, got $4 in ECB’s back

Total cost $14.26, less $4 coupons, less $6 ECB’s = Total Out of Pocket $4.26 Received $10.29 in ECB’s

What a beautiful shopping day!

CVS in Georgia

On Sunday I visited a local CVS here in Georgia.  I wasn’t sure what to expect . . . would the store be wiped clean of all the great deals or would there be plenty to choose from?

As I entered the store the first thing I noticed was the “magic coupon machine”!!!! Whoo hoooo!!!!  My favorite CVS in Texas has not yet received the “magic coupon machine” so this was a first for me!  If you have never seen the coupon machine, you can view the “magic coupon machine” at Alyssa’s blog.  It printed out 3 coupons that I tucked away for future use :)   I love this machine!

Next I started to search out my items and I was so excited when they had ALL of the items I wanted!!!!  There were even the free products from the July ECB book!  At my old store the free monthly deals are snatched up the first day of the month so this was a treat!

I can’t wait to see what deals there are for this next week!
