Today we visited Fossil Rim Wildlife Center with Grandma and our cousin.  This was only the second time we’ve ever been and it was a lot of fun, if it weren’t so far away we might go more often!

It’s like a “drive through zoo!”  You stay in your car and drive through the wildlife center and you can purchase a bag of food to feed the animals.  The animals will come right up to your car and some even put their heads through your window trying to get the food!  Here is some of what we saw today!

This is a fun summertime activity and since you have to stay in your car, you stay nice and cool!  This is actually a great activity to do anytime of the year.  A friend went once when there was a light rain outside and said it was the best time ever.  The rain made it cool, the park was empty and the animals were out and active because of the cooler tempatures.

If you would like to visit the park and get a great deal, check out the specials on Wednesdays or we used our Star-Telegram Press Pass and saved about $20 on the admission!

Half way through the drive, you can stop and eat lunch.  There are picnic tables so you can pack your own lunch or you can opt to eat at the cafe.  The food at the cafe is actually very good!

This was a fun day with our family!
